Planning For The Perfect Picnic

The summer is all about enjoying the sun and being outside. Picnics have become a staple in how to have fun while soaking up rays. But it is very easy to go from having to fun to a nightmare if the picnic is not done correctly. Lisa Richards of Catering Magazine has provided excellent pointers to ensure a good time for you and everyone being served. The first pointer is about keeping food hot or cold when transporting it.  Things such as heated bricks can keep the food warm or using the "double bowl" method for keeping foods cool and not soggy. The next pointer is a method called "par cooking chicken" to avoid under cooking or over cooking the meat. Keeping the grill running by using a three bag charcoal system will ensure even temperature and will remain a constant heat. The last pointer was to ensure that the food is only a part of the picnic. Make sure to have fun but always have delicious food. Good times are always shared around a good meal!
