Like Your Mother Said, Eat Your Soup - It's Good for You!

Eastern has a wide range of soup serving options
Despite what the Lords of Winterfell might have you believe, winter isn’t the only thing coming.  The latest edition of the Farmer’s Almanac makes its debut next week and is predicting a nasty winter. While we haven’t even hit autumn just yet, it feels wise to start considering what’s going to be needed to prepare for the impending bitter cold.

At Eastern Tabletop, we pride ourselves not only in the quality of our product lines, but in the ability to stay current and fresh in what we deliver. We always encourage our friends to do the same. It’s what will set you apart from other businesses that just “go with the flow.”

It’s why we’re recommending you jump ahead of the curve by thinking about soups.

According to Gallup, 58% of American’s don’t get the appropriate amount of fruits and vegetables necessary for maintaining proper health. Vegetables are vital parts of a diet that can help reduce a numerous amount of illnesses including type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. Yet they are so often neglected in place of things like fast food.

Providing an array of hearty and healthy soups not only shows your commitment to the customer’s well-being but it can also save you money on other food costs. A Penn State study shows that providing a low calorie soup as a first course led to a 20% reduction in calorie intake and overall reduction in food consumption. You might think that the soups have to thick and chunky to have that effect, but, according to PSU, broth based soups were just as effective.

The point we’re getting at is that soup is an often-slept on option that is actually a really smart choice to go with. It’s an easy way to fill your costumer’s stomachs, with the added bragging rights of being able to say you didn’t help widen it.

As always, here at Eastern Tabletop we have a wide selection of beautiful stainless steel Soup Marmites to pick from.  Don’t hesitate to take a look & call us with any questions on which Marmite is best for your company.
